Weather has been a passion of as mine for as long as I can remember.
I started chasing storms about 10 years ago.
I was lost somewhere on the
border of Iowa and Nebraska, with
a rotating mesocyclone barreling down on me when
it occurred to me:
I need better maps.
The maps on the Internet are nice, but I wanted to be able to customize the amount
of data on the map and combine that data in different ways. I also wanted to be
able to overlay my GPS position so I could see precisely where the storm was and
where it was heading in relation to me.
Unfortunately, there was no software available that could do what I wanted.
So I wrote it.
I designed SWIFT WX Professional with two goals in mind:
- It should be powerful enough for professional
storm trackers,
- but easy enough for everyone else to use
SWIFT WX Professional is unique from other weather software in that it does not
require a degree in Meterology to use.
If you haven't already, I hope you'll give it a try. And if you have any questions,
I'm here to help you out.
