I have the default catalog and the backup catalog for radars in Swiftwx. I've noticed though that sometimes the timestamps can get kind of old (anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes). And I'm talking about local radars not the national mosaics. Does anyone have or know of another catalog of radars that might download or update faster than the default or backup catalog? TIA

We try to provide radar from a few different sources because of this reason.

I've also noticed that if there is no active weather in the radar area that oit does not update as often.

Doppler Radar operates in two modes:

"Clear Air" mode, updates every 10 minutes
Precipitation mode, updates every 6 minutes


That would explain the discrepancy.
