Here are 3 different versions of the default catalog (comes with v2.6) that all have the blue filtered out (ground clutter in most cases). I made 3 different smoothing levels. Rory's default of 65, one with 0 smoothing and 1 with 100 (max) smoothing.

Hope this helps those not too excited about editing the catalog.

Dan,
It works for me here on a different computer. If anyone else has tried it and it's worked, please post back here and let me know.

I'll try to find a way of putting another link.

Thanks,
Jamie

Now that the filter for National RADAR has changed, how do we apply the "blue filter"?

Unfortunately, it's not working out to be an easy filter to develop/find. Several are working on it.....keep an eye on the forums for an update as soon as it's found...

I'm admitting defeat. I've spent at least 6 hours trying to determing the right color combo. The closest I can get is eliminating both the green and the blue.

The problem is that green and blue are intricately close in the color table. Apparently this didn't cause a problem when filtering from White-to-blue. But filtering from Black-to-Blue most cross over the green spectrum.

For those who want the blue filtered out, see Dwxtracker's post:

This edit uses a different radar source, that has a white background.

FYI -- this little detour exposed for me a pretty significant problem with the way the GIS engine handles color filtering.

I will investigate some better filtering options in a later release.

Rory,
Could you please post the syntax for the filter="
command?

I may be on to something, but need help with how the command is laid out and what other options with the command I might have.

Thanks,
Jamie
